USPS has sent one of my three packages with my computer speakers and xbox peripherals ground delivery. It wouldnt be so bad except ground from Oregon to Hawaii 4-6 weeks. What irks me is the other two were sent priority like I wanted them all sent...

Why not just get a plastic reed for practice and then a regular reed for performances? Thats what I used to do for clarinet. I really need to get back into that...

You know... that would be a good idea. how much do one of thsoe things cost/do they actually feel like a real reed?

Last I checked they were about $15. Online they are about $10. They're okay but they tend to buzz a bit more then a regular reed which is why I would use it for practice.

The feel is a little different. Smoother physically. A lot harder to chip or crack

You don't have to soak it for more than 15 seconds. I liked them though. Mine lasted about 6 months

Nice sax by the way. Cork or synthetic pads?

It's actually some imported Italian leather type material. Not exactly sure, I'll take a closer look tomorrow. It isn't cork though I'm sure of that.

I like it. I used to have an old yamaha, bought it for about 300 used from ebay. they key stones fell off and once I played the cannonball I wondered how I ever played that POS for 3 years. The cannon ball has such a nice sound... every time I play a solo at church or other random event people say it's the best tone they have heard from a saxophone before. It is my love of my life!

I'm pretty stoked for tomorrow.. I'm getting a new tattoo which is going to take about 3 hours to do.. Then later in the night I'm taking the train to see my girl for the weekend!

punkr0x0r, what is the tattoo of? I have always wanted to get one, but I just can't seem to think of anything meaningful enough.

My first week of internships has gone pretty good. It's a lot of work though and I don't have time to really do anything except on the weekends. Kinda stinks I don't know anyone around here either, hoping to meet more people through work though!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Has anyone seen MacHeadCase?? Don't tell me I've lost another friend. I don't have many and can't afford to lose them.

MHC are you there........

MHC has left over an undisclosed disagreement with the management.

can't really say more, other than it doesn't seem there are too many hurt feelings, other than missing her.

Um, and who else recently has left?

iRye, as long as you've been here you've always had a flair for the melodramtic. ;)

Alot of people eventually leave and it has nothing to do with the board, it has to do with real life and changes in priority. ToddG was asked to leave, that was a different circumstance and that was a very long time ago.

Wait....MacHeadCase is gone?
Awwww. :(

Birthdays will never be as cheery.

Anyway, i'm so glad it's finally the weekend.
I'm so tired!
But....i'll be mildly busy every day of the weekend.
I have more to say, but i'm too tired to say it.
WAY too tired................not to mention I forgot half of it since i've been so absentminded lately.
