Finally got a new car. Its a 2005 Chevy Cobalt LS. Coupe, 5spd, sunroof, its pretty much loaded, and I love it. So happy to have my own car again.

Nice Stretch! Glad to hear you've gotten everything sorted out. Care to share any pics?

Meijer's screwed up checkout system cost me $33.21 for a can of soup.

Soup = $2.00 no tax

$1.15 cash
$0.93 in checking account

I gave them the $1.15 and said "The rest on my card".

They took my cash and put the WHOLE BILL on my card, causing an overdraft.

A $2.00 can of soup is going to cost me $33.

No. I'm not paying it. I will ask the bank to waive it, if not, I will close my account and they will hear no more from me.

Meijers seems to be getting bigger.....sadly.

The checkout people in lowell do that ALL THE TIME.
Sadly, i'm hesitant to say something unless it's huge because more often than not I know the person.
It's quite sad, in Lowell, people go to school then get a job at meijer (it's the only grocery store) about their junior year, but then they never end up moving on to college. They just stay at meijer.
Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if they start having class reunions at meijer.

(I love how i say "seriously" then say something really not serious)

Woo hoo!

Two brief things.

First: Kid who stole my bass asked to buy it, cash up front, so I sold it to him for $350.

Second: Got Unreal Tournament '99 running natively in OS X. The last reason I held on to Windows is now no longer a reason to hold onto Windows.

I'm a happy panda. ^_^

Go Cubbies!!

What do you think of the AT&T commercial with the fake Harry Carry commercials Todd51? I think they are hilarious but I heard his widow is so mad.

I didn't really care for the commercial. I still think Will Ferrell did the best Harry Carry impression on SNL. I still laugh to this day when I think about it. Too bad the Cubs lost, I got really excited when Fukudome tied it in the 9th. Stupid bullpen! :Shouting:

I'm trying to use my mouse left handed.
I have carpal tunnel on my right wrist apparently. It's not as bad on my left because I use the keyboard with that hand, my right hand uses the mouse and just the way my desk is when I move my mouse my wrists and up slanted off the desk.
Hurts, yet i'm here.

Anyway, i'm tinkering with an old PC to try to get it to take some high density RAM....worked like 2 times, still trying to get it. Then, i'll be playing sims. (My mom scored at the thrift store....got the sims and makin magic, livin large, hot date, vacation, and unleashed expansion packs for $1.50 each)

It would be nice to have them for Mac, but i'm broke.

TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY BEFORE SPRING BREAK!

Nice, $1.50 each. I found my copy of Sims 2 for PC recently and gave it to my brother. He was so into that first game.
I got pretty tired of it quickly. Although, it was kinda of fun adding in all of the patches. I made a nudist colony once. That was kinda funny.

2 topics of news today:

My Vostro is in Canada. Since the place where it goes through customs is at the border, which is only about 4 hrs from Calgary, where I live, it'll be delivered tomorrow.

I've switched back to Tiger. I'm pressed on HD space, so things on leopard are unnecessary. I'm loving tiger, it seems less cluttered and just very clean.

How long have you been waiting for that lap top, seriously? It seems like it's been weeks since you ordered it.

Got a new TV today!

30" Mitsubishi CRT with AMAZING speakers.

Found it on the curb in front of some snooty rich couple's house.

Works flawlessly. Good day for garbage picking.

Good morning! Yesterday I returned to a local botanical garden and took some photos. I posted one of them in the April photo of the month thread. While at the garden, I saw something else that I shot, and though not the best photographically, I like it for what it was.

There's a pond at the garden, and I was walking along the edge of the water. I saw something in the middle, a log sticking out of the water. There was something on it. Now at this garden they have some sculptures that are creative, if not exactly in tune with the natural setting of the place. For instance, last week I took a photo of a lizard made of transmission parts that looked rather good, if a bit out of place. I posted it in another thread. I figured this thing I was seeing was one of these objects d'art.

A minute later I noticed the log had moved. I took the camera, zoomed on the object, and saw two turtles sunning themselves on the log. They were alive, and they were just enjoying the day. It was pretty cool.
