Who knows of a good thread regarding upgrading RAM? The search brings up all sorts of threads not useful at this time. Thanks.

Congratulations on the ibook, PL!

Netty, I hope the game was a good one! I can't wait for opening day on Monday!

I'm sitting around here, just ordered some Corsair Ram (2 x 1Gb) for my MPB since my old GSkill memory went bad. Right now I'm suffering on the stock 512Mb that came with the computer. :( Thankfully that birthday money came in handy and the ram only cost me $60 with shipping!

I was sort of disapointed by the Light Out thing that went on tonight. I was hoping a lot of people in the area would participate but they didn't.

Not to be a nosy nancy, but, what do you do for a living Bry?

You have an amazing place, a great desk setup, and from the looks of it an amazing camera (or two, three, four).

I'm curious and jealous at the same time.

I work for a retailer specializing in professional photography. I got real lucky with my apartment. It's government subsidized or something so my rent is based on how much I make, which isn't a lot.
The desk cost $70 at Ikea. Most of the rest of what I own I've found cheap online but I got the Mac though work. The camera/lens is a rental from work. I couldn't afford the high end cameras I'm used to using. My digital camera cost like $150 so it's nothing special. :)

Bry, I just realized that I have the same lava lamp as you, it's the best lava lamp ever!

EDIT: I also am jealous of where you live and the view outside your apartment.

The view out the other side of the building is much nicer actally. It's clear view of the Sears Tower.

I love lava lamps but the pink one takes forever to heat up. I have a smaller blue one and it gets going quite fast in comparison. I realize this is because it's smaller but I think the pink one was on for two hours before it started doing its thang.

Wow, ya know, I honestly never would've guessed, but I guess being a bargain hunter really pays off.

You should upload a photo of the other view, I would really like to see it! Yes, that lava lamp does take a while to heat up. Mine takes around 1-2 hours also.

It really does, you can get some great solid stuff for cheap, I got an HDMI cable for $2.01 and a fantastic TV stand (fits up to 50 inches) for I think like 40 bucks. Ebay, Ikea, Amazon all great places to get just about anything from.

Man, I wish I had a really nice LCD HDTV. Only a few more years and I should have a job that can pay for one. I have the DVD player and sound system, just stuck with a horrible TV.

My main three places for shopping. Craigslist can be a great place for anything except electronics. I wouldn't buy anything electronic from Craigslist.

Todd-
I don't know anyone in my building so the only photo I could get will be at street level. I'll upload something in the morning.

I participated in the earth hour thing, and even got my family to participate. I would've taken a picture, but my whole neighborhood participated too. :D

The game was fun! Although the Dodgers lost. Here are some pics I'd like to share.

Nice pics Netty. Haven't been to a ball game since elementary school.

Sorry its been a while since I last posted. My right foot is a lot better now. The pain is still there, but its more of a nagging pain which the doc said is a good sign of it healing or something.

Cause it was a work related injury, I got workers comp, which is real nice.
