That sounds like a fun car. I know a guy that got one. He said he got the v-spec model because it had long name.

Congratulations iKitten!

I know it has been said before in this thread, but I wasn't able to check in this weekend (catching up on all the bills that had piled up over my vacation, plus doing the dreaded income tax return - yuchhh!), so here goes:

Congratulations iKitten!!

May your marriage bring you much joy and happiness over the years!

Could be low blood sugar (try eating some candy), hard to say for sure. Lay down and take it easy - your body is trying to tell you something.

Hope your feeling better iRye. I often get like that and it turned out my iron was low but not quite anemic. I take multi-vitamins now and I think it helps.

Well M-F,

I would like to be sleeping. But....i'm not.
You see....i'm so gosh darn ADD that when I went to go take my ADD pills I was having an ADD moment and took the morning ones in the evening.
So.....it's near midnight, on a school night, and i'm planning a whole event for may 3rd.

And last night I went to bed at 10, yet woke up at 12, and couldn't get back to sleep until 2:30 and I have to be up at 6.
I'm going to be one cranky camper.

But seriously, out of all the nights I have not been able to sleep this is by FAR the most productive.
My mother has this coworker who has been diagnosed with cancer. I don't know her, nor have I ever met her.
Anyway, my mom and some of her friends are planning a fundraiser in the cafeteria of my high school for may 3rd. She originally asked me and my brother to just take some pictures there, but hey, anyone can take pictures!
I mean I could do so much more, sure, i'm only a freshman in high school, but that doesn't mean anything.....I KNOW people.
So my initial plan was to just get a couple of volunteers, nothing fancy, maybe spread the word out a bit.
But now that i've taken double the dose of folcalin I normally take, I'm feeling POWERFUL.

I made a list of stuff I should do ASAP, which is crazy because of the ADD and all.

Here's what i've got.

Meet with:

Mrs. (Donation boxes for musical dates)
Mr. and/or Mrs. (Flyers/Campus update info)
Mrs. (Change war information)
Mrs. Whatever the principals name is, the one who's a myth. Or someone in the main office. (Announcements/magazines)
WLHS crew.
Possibly Mr.
Middle school principal.
the people at the lowell ledger (the one that's a myth)
Donation record keeping/matching info (volunteers needed)

Contact the head honcho at voyages/pep talk/other locally owned businesses. (Donation matching)

>Find out about possible photographers, DJ type people, caterers.
>Get ahold of .
>Additional fundraising ideas for the 3rd that might appeal to some younger people.
>Find out musical dates/times
>Find out when exactly spring break is.
>Find out what time fundraiser is.
>Dawn's last name.
>Supplies/Funding/Volunteers needed.
>A load of flyers would be nice, but that's optional.

Get a volunteer sign up sheet.
Get volunteers.

Get the name of her cancer treatment center.

meet with parentals to get the little details which are actually freakin huge.
> Orthodontist WILL donate. look them up.

Print this list.

I'm not this productive in a week.
Probably wasn't necessary to post the whole list....but I need to know that people are seeing it so it motivates me to get it done.

So my plans for the next day or so is to:

Get in touch with my principal or the freshman assistant principal, whoever makes decisions, some of us doubt our principal even exists because nobody has ever seen her before, including some of the staff. I don't even know her name.

Anyway, I need to ask about a CHANGE WAR.
If you don't know what i'm talking about, basically a bunch of buckets are going to be set up for each individual grade to put $ in.
I would like to expand to the middle school as well.
They would be competing against all other grade levels to see who can raise the most money.
The object is to obviously raise the most money.
You put change in your bin, and it counts for you.
YOu put DOLLAR BILLS in the other grades bins, and it counts against them.
SO you want change in your bucket, not dollar bills.
And don't look at me, i did NOT make up those rules.
Anyway, i'm also going to call up some local businesses and see if they will be willing to match (or exceed) the funds raised by our school district.
Pep Talk and Voyages are some local businesses fyi.
Maybe i'll even keep trying to get more businesses on board even if I already got one to match.
And my orthodontist does stuff like this so i'll call him up.

Oh and the names of the teachers in my list have been deleted.

The main fundraiser is the jewelry sale through premier.
I think they donated catalogs, so i'll get those passed out, but my concern is that i think we should do something on top of the jewelry sale because that might not appeal to middle and high school level students.
But hey as long as we raise money for a good cause who cares.

Maybe i'll even call up some local newspapers and radio/tv stations, who knows.

And may 3rd happens to be the date of one of the musical performances (LOWELL HIGH SCHOOL PRESENTS COPACABANA, OH YES!)
so i'm hoping to set out some donation cans so some of the traffic from the musical will get some $. Hopefully the time for the fundraiser is set right after or before the musical.

I'm trying to think if there is any way that I can maybe use the cast of the musical to promote this stuff, as I know a LOT of the cast members.

I thought I had a lot more to do, but I guess I forgot it all or something.

Well this has been an interesting post....maybe i'll attempt to sleep now (although my head is spinning).

Now that my goals are shared with someone, i'll be more motivated to COMPLETE them.
I'm so excited.....yet so very nervous.

WISH ME LUCK, I'LL NEED IT!

Found out why my version of Leopard was crashing so horribly bad and causing the restarts.

There was an error in the disc that caused some code to become corrupt. Went into the Apple Store today, and basically said "Hey, umm, fix this plz."

They gave me a new, sealed copy of Leopard no problem.

Running beautifully now. :)

Nothing wrong with that!
A little platform diversity never hurt anyone.
I'm thinking about getting an old P3 to catch up on my you-tubing, but I only have $110, but I might find something around eBay.

Good luck to you and your Vostro!

Anyone know if Law and Order SVU is a new episode tonight?

Oh, and are you feeling better?

I HATE being dizzy.
I get REALLY dizzy when I stand up, it's the most annoying thing ever. Sometimes it gets to the point where I stand up and fall right back down.
Mostly it happens when I stand up, sometimes it happens randomly though.
It takes me a little bit to compose myself or I can't even walk a straight line.
Never really looked into why, just thought it was a side effect of some pills i take.

I feel much better, thanks :) Sorry, but I can't wait until the Vostro gets here. I'm a little bored with Macs right now, and I love getting a new computer. I have never had a dell before, but the ordering process was quick and painless. i ordered the dell because my mom wanted kind of a cheaper computer so she can look up recipes on the internet in the kitchen. The Vostro 1000 seemed to be the least problematic of the vostro lineup. I think the tracking process of it is really cool. :)

I thought it was a rhetorical question. I figured the hours of GH and fast food would make anyone queasy and dizzy. :p

I will be the first to admit that I am a fanboy.

I have much Apple love.

However, I'm at least rational enough to recognize that Macs aren't perfect, and Apple can do wrong, so maybe I'm not a fanboy afterall.

;_;

SO CONFLICTED.

You will love Vista. So smooth on 512 Megs RAM. :D
Want to sell that boring MAC? OSX bores me to tears. Nothing to mess with! :D

So iRye, are you going to change your handle here at Mac Forums? How about VistaRye or DellRye. Sorry. I am high on OSX at the moment. :D
