mac57 Back in the Real World

Hi All, I am back in "the real world" after two glorious weeks in the Caribbean (Spring Break with my kids). We stayed at Windjammer Landing in St. Lucia, where I own a timeshare. My brother also owns there, and every year we have a major family reunion at the resort. As always, it was a GREAT time.

Any other folks here who own at Windjammer Landing or have been there recently?

Your avatar a good portrayal of the past two weeks??

Pretty good portrayal, except that the avatar seems to be enjoying a Margarita. In my case, it was Rum Punch. Windjammer Landing makes the BEST rum punch I have had anywhere in the Caribbean! It is fabulous.

Other than than, lots of swimming, sailing the Hobi Cats, building sand castles with my kids, lazing around, schmoozing with family... VERY restful, very enjoyable.

It is difficult to be back in the real world. What is this "work" thing? They actually want me to get up early in the morning and be somewhere by 8:00 AM? Sheesh! ...and no rum punch? Double Sheesh!! :D

...of course my wife reminds me that it is that very same "work thing" that pays for the vacations. She is right of course. Sigh...

Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I posted here. I was on spring break from work all this week but not from Univ. so I still had to go to class in the evening. Although I am thinking about skipping class tonight :D

I hope everyone is having a great Friday!

Very nice. I've been to St. Thomas & St. Maarten, but never St. Lucia. Sounds like fun.

My in-laws own a timeshare down in Orlando, which is always a fun vacation (we typically go every other year). Someday I love to own one in the Carribean.

Anyway, welcome back!

I'm viewing the mug shot thread.
Didn't know that was pictures of people.....don't know what I thought it was before today.
Now i'm looking through EVERY SINGLE PAGE, looking at ALL the pictures.
Did I mention that yes, i'm STILL using dial up?.

AH, talk about squinty eyes!

And I feel the windows pain.
I'm about to buy a windows book. Would like a Mac, but the budget doesn't fit.
Good thing it's just for youtube/downloading.
Anything ever annoys me I can just WIPE IT CLEAN.
Yes.

I'm going to take a little break of the mug shots and watch dateline. Love dateline, tonight it's set in Michigan!

Anyway, I think i'm gonna get another bird.

Weekend plans anyone?

No plans for me Tanner. I just fractured my right foot at work. It blows.
My right leg is just... cursed. In my lifetime, I had severe tendonitis on my right shin. I sprained my right ankle twice. Now I fractured my right foot.
I think my left leg is conspiring against my right leg.

and i JUST got done with the Mug Shots thread.
WOW THAT WAS A LONG TIME!
I ended up recording dateline, so i was on here for a long time.
I looked at every photo that would load, but some of them just stop while loading the photo, grays the rest out, it's irritating. I'll upload my own MUG SHOT shortly.

Anyway,

That's too bad about the foot. Last year I sprained my foot, not the same thing obviously, but it hurt. BAD. They said a foot sprain/fracture is worse than a break because of all the pressure. Don't know if it's true, but a nurse told me so i'm gonna guess it's right.
My advice, i'm sure you've heard it, and you're probably following it (I hope)
ELEVATE.

STAY OFF THAT FOOT! NOT KIDDING! IF THEY GAVE YOU CRUTCHES, USE THEM. IF THEY SAID NO WALKING, DON'T WALK!

I'm sure you know that, but whenever someone has a foot injury I always tell them that.
When I sprained my foot they told me to stay off it, gave me a sexy little boot (It was ugly, and it ended up all dirty), and crutches. Told me to use them too. Rolled me out to my moms car in a wheelchair, I was getting all kinds of weird looks as there was nothing visibly wrong with me except if you looked at my shoes.

I thought they were being dramatic. I stayed off it for one day. I was going to use the crutches, then I realized how much they HURT. So, I just sort of limped around school and stuff.
Kept hurting.
They said it healed a tiny bit abnormally. Don't really know what that means, but to this day when I walk long distances my foot KILLS. This was a year ago in April.

Hope it goes well for you.
But you did it at work? Oh man......
(Twinkle in eye. Mischievous grin.)
EVIL LAUGHING!
MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Hey everyone! So I'm becoming even more and more busy as the semester comes to a close. It's hard to believe I only have a little over a month left for school, our finals are the beginning of May! I believe I have found a job over the summer that is somewhat interesting to me. I guess it's more of an internship since I won't get paid for it, but it will give me college credit. This way I will only have to take 2 classes next fall to graduate. Talk about a relaxing semester.

Hope everyone is having a good week, I have to get up early tomorrow and go to school to get some work done. Later all!

Mac-Forums,
IT'S SNOIWING.
OVER THE COURSE OF TODAY, WE'VE GOTTEN A LOT!
It's horrible. We haven't had snow in weeks, just when it was all melted, and now it's back again. Old Man Winter is such a tease, indeed.

Something I HATE is when kids at my high school walk around and grope each other. It's freakin' stupid. Normal couples TALK for a change.
Thursday I had to wait, outside of french while this couple were making out like there is no tomorrow.
OH, I'M GOING TO FRENCH, AND YOU'RE NOT.
OH MAN!
I'M NEVER GOING TO SEE YOU AGAIN!
I CAN'T STAND BEING APART FROM YOU FOR 70 WHOLE MINUTES!
OH MAN!
I'M SO SAD!
LET'S MAKE OUT!
(Slurp noises)

So I went in there and i was lilke You and your boyfriend are like (Makes sucking noises while mashing fingers together)Can't you stand being apart from him for 70 whole minutes (does more sucking sounds and mashing hands together)! Then the student teacher walked in and was like "Hey, i'm recording your class, the video camera is over there", so now there is a video of me looking like a creep making sucking sounds while mashing my fingers together. lol.

One more thing-I LOVE the movie Mulholland Drive. I don't understand part of it, but I love it.
