So I'm going to this sports bar tonight for my cousin's birthday. She hangs out with a different crowd than I do. Luckily my close friend is coming along with me too so it won't be too awkward. Although I'm debating whether I really want to go. It's too cold and I'm getting lazy. :D

Ouch, that stinks. Sorry about that.
We hit a deer last year, only it wasn't hurt, but it was literally UNDER our van, as in alive and kicking under the van, and we were just sorta stopped in the middle of the road with a deer thrashing under our van, we were kinda like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. We had NO IDEA What to do, looking back, i'm sure it was a little stupid just to sit there maybe, but I don't know, but hey, at least it's an interesting story! The deer got out okay, and so did we, and so did our van.

I had a dream it was my birthday and someone got me an Acer laptop with vista on it. I didn't really want it, but I felt bad about selling it, but in the end I sold it to a teenager for his studies and bought a Mac Mini.
What an interesting dream.

Anyone else have any dreams they want to talk about?

Ok, I hate this Epson printer I bought. It's extremely loud and it eats ink faster than a bear eats salmon. I'm gonna return it today, but my mom threw out the receipt. (She won't admit she was wrong for doing, she claims it's my fault for having a messy bedroom?) So I have no receipt. (I'm getting one of those receipt scanners, after this) I wanna exchange it for a mid range Canon. Will I be able to? it's in saleable condition

So sorry. :( My wife just got her Highlander back from the body shop after repairing damage from hitting a deer. It was only around $2K. I assume you weren't hurt.

no, it was pretty slow speed. i don't think she (guessing it was a she) was hurt either.

i was on a 50mph county highway pretty much alone at about 6am. saw the first one from a decent distance and hit the brakes semi-hard. if i'd seen the second in time i'd have hit them harder from the get-go. but since i didn't i nudged her at probably 5 mph or so. still, i knocked her down and she slid on the snow about 10 feet kicking the whole way. i just kept thinking [cleaned up for general audiences] oh-god-get-up-get-up-get-up-c'mon-get-up!
i was pretty glad when she did and started walking.

the two of them took off and i stopped to get a good look at the damage. mostly cosmetic it seems - hood, grille, fender, light assembly, and a very minor dent to the bar that holds the radiator, fenders, and lights where the light pushed into it. could have been a lot worse.

really weird thing was i didn't even have that adrenaline surge you normally get after this sort of thing. no shakey foot, nothing.

There's probably a relationship there.
