Nothing like 80 degree days in January. Kinda sucks having to run heat one day and the air conditioning the next, though.

Whoa, 80 degrees in January??? :)

It's still raining here. I go back to work tomorrow! :) I'm excited but it's going to be tough waking up at 6 a.m again.

Waking up at 6 is easy, I gotta be up at 4:40. :p

I bought a beautiful EPSON printer, but sadly due to driver issues I'm thinking of returning it. For 2 cents more, I could of gotten a Canon.

It was really warm here today, really nice outside actually.

Well I just got done sending my cover letter and resume to 2 different internship positions. I would be thrilled to get a call back on either one of them. It seems as though all of my friends just kind of "fall into" jobs. My roommate just so happened to hear from his aunt that she had a friend knew a company was hiring in the exact type of job he wanted. He was also lucky enough that nobody was applying for the job so he got it in a heartbeat. I really hope I just completely randomly fall into a job. It's always been hard for me to find just simple part-time jobs, I can't imagine what it's going to be like trying to find an internship for this summer, or even worse, a career when I graduate.

Classes start tomorrow, I have one at 10 and one at 12. Thankfully, it will be an easy day, the rest of the week..not so much.

That's a pretty lousy response, because - guess what - no, it's not funny.

I'm just kidding, because some people i've noticed (mostly male), don't always get that they want in their marriage. I don't believe that would make getting not married worth it though. A lot of people arent allowed to do things because their husband/wife doesn't want them to. Not all though, and i'm not saying its a bad thing. I could use some financial dictating in my life that's for sure.

Although I really did admire that you left me your name! That takes guts, I wish i could do that.

No leash here. I put nearly 50,000 miles a year on my vehicles, so I have several and cycle them out pretty frequently before they lose all value... ;) Not to mention, I'm going to be on deployment to the Persian Gulf for 7 months this year, basically earning a full extra paycheck the whole time I'm gone. When I come back I'll have that extra money on top of the lack of a car payment for the GTI, so I'll have some extra for a low-mileage R32 for a fun car. :D

I know what you mean-50,000 miles a year is a lot! My uncle has a '96 Silverado with only 76,000 miles on it. On the other hand my aunts minivan has over 150,000 and its a 2004, but she recently got a new Cobalt for commuting.

Our cars have a LOT of miles on them, just because we just said heck with it and stopped trying to maintain any resale value, basically we are gonna drive them until they drop dead, no matter how bad they get. Saves $$$$ though. The '92 cavalier isn't looking good with 200,000miles and the '97 dodge neon with 170,000 is still doing fine. We would get some nicer cars but in my area cars get wrecked very fast. I looked at a Pontiac dealership and some of the cars were already rusting at the bottom and they haven't even been sold yet! It's quite sad really.

But I hope the R32 deal works out for you!

I'm sorry, it didn't come off as kidding, but I'll accept that's what you meant. It just doesn't come off that way to folks.

From what I've seen, some women don't get what they want in a marriage either. Despite that, I think that healthy marriages have a good amount of give and take, within the context of satisfying family needs and allowing for some fun that's affordable within the budget. Marriage takes a heck of a lot of work, and "jokes" like that don't resonate very well with me. I take them personally, even if they're directed toward another member. It's insulting toward them and their spouses. In a nutshell, ya pushed one of those proverbial buttons.

On leaving my name, with the rep system I couldn't do it any other way. If I'm going to say something positive or negative, you'll know it's me.

Woo hoo, only 34 more days until I can get my driver's permit!

I'm sure the wait is driving you nuts with a capital ACORN. Okay that was kinda weird. Anyway, do you have a car? Someone in my french course today went on and on and on about how her parents bought her a brand spankin new 2008 ford fusion for no reason at all, and she acts like it's nothing, like they just GIVE those away. It was quite annoying. I then saw her speeding off down the road while throwing a pop can out the window blasting fergie. Spoiled brats like that bug me, but the best part about it for me is that they come with MICROSOFT SYNC. So it looks like her "dark metallic blue blue beauty she rightfully earned for turning 19" will soon be seeing a BSOD, or getting a virus, or the horn is going to freeze when she honks it, and do all the stuff that microsoft things do. So we have the last laugh, HEHEHEHEHEHE. EVIL LAUGHING! Just don't be like her and throw things out the windowand if someone does buy you a car don't be snobby about it, but im sure you won't.:)

Phew!!!

I just spent the last hour and a half bundling wires and re-calibrating the positions of my speakers for my surround sound. Man, it sure sounds good... heheh... and I'm sure my neighbor and the landlord know about it, with as loud as I just had it up!

hey, how is everyone else doing this fine evening (atleast its a fine evening for me right now). I'm sitting here, watching pinks on the speed network, and a guy just lost by half a car length with a 5 1/2 car length head start, now he wants a 9 car length head start, a little silly if you ask me.

My parents are selling me a 1990 Toyota pickup for $500. They don't really beleive in giving gifts, except at Christmas.

And they don't have to worry about me getting in a high speed crash- the thing barely hits 60 MPH. :p

I am frustrated beyond belief at the moment. Have been fighting with a server issue since last Wednesday. Our primary file and print server (serves approximately 1100 people in my office) is intermittently dropping the server service (meaning that it doesn't go "down" per se, just stops serving for a 30 seconds to a few minutes at a time). We've been working on this thing non-stop pretty much since Wednesday, but have yet to find a "smoking gun". There's pretty much nothing in the event logs, and from a performance perspective, this thing is practically at idle (CPU and network utilization hover around 2% most of the day).

Anyway, after poking and prodding and tweaking and rebooting, we finally breakdown and call Microsoft. Fortunately, we get someone who seems very competent and recommends a number of registry tweaks that are supposed to correct it after a reboot. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm trying to keep a positive attitude. We'll know for sure tomorrow when there's load on the server again. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Hope everything works out okay for ya, cwa!

I am under a bit of stress right now also. I have a ton of stuff to do this week with my student organization and I don't know if I can get it all done! I'll be like this all semester I'm afraid, along with trying to find an internship for the summer and keeping up with homework, man it's going to be a long semester. :(

I've got no stress.

Just kidding...

I'm trying to tie up all of my financial and project loose ends this week because I go out to sea for a month beginning next week...
