Hey man it'll be ok i know how you feel. I was out of football for 6 months after i damaged ligaments in my knee. Just listen to the physio, you might think they are stupid for telling you that you cant play but they know best in the end :)

Best thing to do is take things slowly... if you feel fit in 4 weeks.. play in 6

Mad as it sounds, if you rush back into your sport, your more likely to come straight back.. usually worse off then when you was the first time... trust me I know

My previous advice only comes since now i cant play football for more then 45 mins without being in agony... should of listened to my physio when he said rest :p

I hope you feel better soon Ryan :)

Thanks man, were only half way through the season, so I don't want to rush back at all. He said i could probably skate before that but i don't want to risk getting checked and screwing myself up again.

Take as long as it needs. Theres no shame in sayin that your gonna take 10 weeks out (for a 4 week recovery) if it means you are FULLY fit when you come back

If your recovery is due in 4 weeks... just skate about with some basic stuff, then maybe do some lite one on one drills etc, build ur self up, you will thank yourself for it later on :)

No problem, I know it might sound patronising coming from me, but Im just trying to help, I love sport but can no longer do a lot of it thanks to my childish behaviour towards medical professionals :p

Good Luck Ryan :)

Well, as the song says, its beginning to look a lot like Christmas... particularly if you live in the north of the country these days! :D

We're getting some liquid sunshine too, but we may have some additional fun as our liquid is expected to harden on things like the roads, trees, wires. Oh how I love ice storms. NOT.

Even this morning in NC, there were numerous accidents on the highways, mainly because of the iced over bridges.
