Now I know how you fellas feel when meeting the parents. :) As I said, I didn't really establish a close relationship with my ex's parents. He didn't care much for it and neither did his parents. Nick really cares that his my mom and I get along. Which is cool and I don't mind but it's something very new to me.

Again, I know just how you feel netty :D

In past relationships meeting the parents usually resulted in them banning the gf from ever seeing me again :p The new relationship, They both seem to like me, and i get on with them fairly well! Best thing i can say is just relax around em' treat them like you would anyone else and you should be good :D

Ive also attached a nice random photo of me and my gf at starbucks... picture taken after she stole my frappy :( :p

So, I went to Nick's house today and we watched a movie and ate pizza. Before I leave he says "Oh, don't forget to say bye to my mom. Recently she brought that up, that every time you leave you never say bye" So we're walking out of his room and his mom is around and Nick gives me this look like, "okay now is the time" So, I kind of choked and just said "Ok, I'm leaving bye, nice seeing you guys." I feel like such a nerd. I probably sounded so stupid. I'm just not used to doing that kind of stuff. With my ex boyfriend, I hardly ever saw his parents. I never had a close relationship with them so I didn't bother. Nick's mom is really involved in his life and cares to get to know the girls he dates.

Ahhh, I just feel like a loser right now. I should have said "Nice seeing you again, have a good night" Not, I'm leaving now! :(
Netty, you are NOT a loser. What you did was a nice start. I'll make a guess that you still impressed Nick's Mom.

It's called family. I'd guess Nick really likes you and that he's proud to have a nice girl like you as a girlfriend. He probably really loves and respects his Mom. This is a Good Thing. I'd also guess that he really loves and respects you too, which is also a Good Thing. How things will ultimately go with you and Nick is something you'll both discover. My guess however is that if you and Nick become serious, you'll get his family along with him. You may even find a friend in his Mom.

And if she's still with you after that, it must be love! ^_^ (Cute photos, btw!)

Yeah, parents are a package deal with girlfriends and boyfriends. I remember a couple times from the past that I'd rather not remember. Ah, El__. She was a doll. Oh and there was Do__. Nice girl. Their parents didn't want me seeing them. I was some kind of bum. Probably figure I'd never amount to anything. Dangerous guy, you know. Then there was La__, but that was the opposite. Her parents really liked me, but she was self-absorbed and dependent.

Ultimately though the good parents have good intentions, even if they don't always get it right. Who wants their son or daughter with someone they think isn't a good choice?

What's up people? So I've finally been able to post back on MF! I was without my computer for a couple of days. I went to visit one of my friends on Friday evening, went to see Jimmy Eat World in concert, then proceeded to the bars after that.

I just got back into town yesterday and went out with some more friends. Just got done watching Die Hard 4, thought it was pretty good. I'm glad to be on Thanksgiving Break and I'm definitely enjoying today's weather, and tomorrow it's supposed to be even warmer! Hopefully I can get out to the shooting range. Which also reminds me, my friend's roommate let me see his AK-47 he had. It was fully decked out with a maglite at the end of the barrel. Said it cost him 300-400 brand new! He said maybe if he got time this week during break we could take it out and give it a fire, that would be a very fun experience. Well I think I'm going to call up some friends and head back out and enjoy the weather while it's still light out.

w00t! My mom just told me I get to order my Christmas gift early, so I'm ordering my external HD for my laptop right now! Does anyone have any suggestions? Right now I'm going to order this one:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136028

Anyone have any better suggestions? I really would like 300+ gigabytes of storage and I want it to have a firewire connection since my MBP's firewire port is still waiting to be used, I have too many USB connections.

I ended up going with the same model as the one I showed you, but I found one that was 500Gb instead of 320Gb.

Test tomorrow.... going insane... been studying since yesterday at 2pm. I think I have had 4.5 red bulls. I don't have wings yet, so I think I'm physically ok. But mentally ... I just want this to be over with.

Hello everyone,

Its been a looooooong time since I posted here. I am still alive and kicking if anyone was wondering ;D

Its been crazy for me. I have just accepted a position that opened up in Asheville, NC (all the way on the western boarder of the State) which will be a lot closer to family. Also the weather there is GORGEOUS. And the views are just Picturesque 24/7.

For those who don't know Asheville, NC... its right in the Mountains and its Beautiful.

So thats what I have been up to lately, been really crazy. My actual move is gonna happen in 3 weeks from today, so am going nuts trying to tie up all the loose ends and get myself packed up and ready for then.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Cheers

MMM

Glad to see you on the forums again, Mina! I too have made myself a little sparse around these parts but I make a post every week or so. Now that I'm on break I can post a little bit more.

I hope the move goes good for you and you don't lose anything! I normally lose one belonging per move, except the last one. I actually found something I had been looking for for a long time!
