Good morning!

It's around 8:50AM here, a decent Friday morning, sunny, a bit hazy, but should be fine.

I'm in one of those "let's do singles" sort of day with music. At the same time I'm rewriting a rather pretzelly (?!) piece of software. I wrote it not knowing exactly how to do what I wanted it to do. Now I want to pare it of cruft and turn it into a work of art. So I have my coffee beside me, music flowing into my ears, and the forum to slow me down a bit and keep me from adding junk to the code.

I will be departing this place in about a week, but for just a week. We're taking a vacation, leaving next Friday for Florida. We'll visit Walt Disney World and take a day trip to Kennedy Space Center. I'll post something before I go, but I will be mostly offline for the duration. I'll have my iPhone with me but won't be taking the MacBook.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Have fun Mathogre. I finally got a chance to sleep in today after two weeks of 3-4 hour nights. Transitioning from work to school, and tying to balance the two... has been crazy. Good thing though, my schedule should now officially be settled, and I won't be going crazy as much as I used to.

Thank you leecho7!

Sleeping in is good, especially after the long hours you've been keeping. Hope you're feeling a little more human after that. ^_^ Enjoy the weekend if you can!

Oh man I know that routine all too well. I used to do so much of it back when I was in school. Work has been really busy for me. TGIF. :D

I had a friend who had epilepsy and it is distressing to see someone have a seizure!

It's just as scary to have epilepsy. I suffered from adolescent epilepsy from ages 12-24. I've not had a seizure in 10 years now...but the fear of slipping back into that is always there. Doctors still do not know the cause of my epilepsy, but my current one thinks it may be linked to my type 2 diabetes that surfaced last year.

If you see someone having a seizure. Please, help them. Just make sure they don't hit their head...they'll usually be fine in a couple minutes. Paramedics don't always need to be called too...depends on if they've injured themselves, or what kind of seizure it is. Diabetics who have them can have them because their sugar is too low...usually those are petite mal (blackouts), but they can turn into grand mal seizures.

Hey all, I'm done with school for the week. I went out and partied last night. Never ended up meeting up with that girl, just played phone tag all night and kept texting each other. I probably won't see her till next week. I'm hoping something happens with her but I do have a weird feeling about it all.

Anyways I'm not feeling like doing much of anything tonight. I'll probably lie around all night after work. I've only had 10 hours of sleep the past 2 nights which is not normal for me.

I also wish I didn't have to stay up at school and work all weekend. My .22 rifle got shipped back to me after it's second trip for repairs. They sent me another stock I can put on it and a couple of extra magazines for it for all the grief I've had. I'm excited and I want to shoot it!! :)

Enjoy the .22 and the weekend todd51!

The programming I mentioned this morning went well; I've completed much more than I expected, and it's clean code, save one little workaround for a programming language weakness. No interruptions, no phone calls, no meetings, only the occasional visit to M-F in between runs and contemplations over algorithms and code. Yes I like my job.

No work tomorrow, it's MY three day weekend since we had Labor Day this week and I don't work on Mondays anyway. ^_^

There's more to do before leaving in an hour and a half, but I'm pleased with what I've accomplished today.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!!!!

Happy friday, friends!! This week has been so busy. I haven't been able to sit and be on M-F. :) I started work again. Our new set of students this year are so sweet and cute. They seem like great kids and they'll be fun to work with. :D

Glad you like the new set of kids, Netty!

Mathogre, glad your day went well also.

I just got off work. I picked up another shift for Sunday so I know I won't be going home this weekend at all. Have a good weekend everyone!

MO, sounds like a fun trip you have planned ~ we'll miss you around here though!

I drove up to Kennedy Space Center last summer (I lived in Jupiter, FL at the time). I saw film "Magnificent Desolation", took the basic tour and snapped lots of pics. It was great!

Good morning everyone! Well my mom is on a trip and it's just my dad and I so my dad is going to let me drive around the neighborhood for the first time! I'm pretty excited. He lets me steer the car from the passengers seat and now that I'm used to that he's going to let me try the pedals and everything! I'll be back in a little while and say how it went!

Hi everyone!

Well I'm back from driving with my dad. He was very impressed and said he thought I did real good with everything! We were driving for about an hour and a half around the new section of our neighborhood. They just paved it so there aren't any home or anything. I did all sorts of things like 3 point turns and backwards driving. And MHC I didn't mistake the two pedals!

WAIT-- Ryan13, aren't you just 14?! In the Carolinas, you shouldn't be driving street cars at your age. I'm shocked. Dirt bikes, race cars, stuff like that, sure. Street cars? No way. ;D ;D ;D ;D

HAHA! It's a neat place off the back of our neighborhood, a new phase, that they just paved and when its 9 in the morning there is NO ONE there! So it was great because I could get some experience and do it where I don't put anyone in danger! ;D ;D But in all seriousness my dad was very pleased with how I did so I think I did good!
