Well today pretty much was a boring day. Thinking about going to bed soon and waking up around 9:30-10 tomorrow so I can do nothing for a while before work.

Good morning everyone. Man it felt great to sleep in and wake up to the smell of coffee from my new Mr. Coffee in the kitchen. :)

I then sat on M-F for an hour or so listening to music while I woke up. Called a few relatives I hadn't talked to in a while to see what was going on in their lives. Now I have to go and shower, then it's off to work at 2.

I think I'm going to order a couple of graphic novels off of amazon today. I plan on getting a couple of books from the Sin City series. I loved the movie and thought the GNs would be better. I also heard from a friend that Batman: Return of the Dark Knight is a good read. He's also busy reading The Preacher series, so after I finish some books I'll look into that as well. Anyone else read graphic novels?

Hey folks - hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend, I know I am.

I have to apologize for being less active than I normally am. Work has been terribly busy recently and I'm still trying to keep my head above water. Between vacations (seems all of my coworkers decided to go out at once) and a few emergencies, I've been pulling my hair out. In addition, accessorizing my new car has eaten up quite a bit of my free time. Just didn't want anyone to think I was MIA.

Anyway, I hope to make it to the IRC tonight - see you all there.

Today is my Day of Rest. Yeah, right. Let's see...

I cooked the large Sunday meal. Barbeque chicken, asparagus w/ hot peppers. Cookies for dessert, espresso to finish it (kiddo had hot chocolate).

Then there was the web page. I do a web site as a volunteer for a charitable organization, and they needed a minor update. It was the first time doing it on the Mac; I used to do it on the Linux box. There was the initial panic that I'd lost certain files from the migration to the Mac, but a visit to archived backup files was all I needed to do to recover it. (It's a small website for a local organization, but it gets ~70 hits/day.)

At present the wife and kiddo are at the mom-in-law's to swim and so now I'm just relaxing.

Hope everyone is having a fine day!

IRC: I will probably be late tonight, getting on around 9PM probably. I think I have kid duty tonight, which starts around 8PM and goes until near 9PM. That means I'll miss the first hour. I should be on after kid duty.

Hope to see EVERYONE there tonight!

It's a short story by Herman Melville called Bartleby, the Scrivener. It's pretty long for a "short" story..hehe :)

Today was okay, but after church we got rear-ended by the people we were about to go out to breakfast with! Everyone was OK, my neck is just a little sore. Talk about a awkward moment o _ 0! Today had been pretty relaxing besides that, and tomorrow should be a nice day to head down to the pool!

Ouch! Sorry to hear that Ryan. Hope your neck feels better.

Good luck on the assignment Netty.

Well, I was supposed to be able to bring my car back down to college this week but some guy backed out of the deal my brother made with him on the car he was gonna by from him, so I'll be without a car for another week.

mathogre, good to hear your having a nice relaxing weekend!! I'm doing the same, just laying around on the couch with my MBP. I don't plan on doing anything tonight so I will probably be on IRC tonight.

I just finished the story. It was rather strange. My paper has to prove how the lawyer is the main character in the story.

Ryan13, glad everyone was fine. Hope your neck feels better soon.

Netty, good for you for finishing the story. Good luck with your paper.

TC99, sorry about being wheel-less. There's always The Feet (or a bike if you have one).

TS, sounds like a fine time!

Hi todd51! Just tried IRC, said "Hi!" ("greetings" actually), but the place is dead. Glad you're enjoying a quiet evening.

Hi iRye! Cool, new shoes!

Hey steven11 and ff24!

Okay I'm giving IRC another try for a minute, then I'm out of there. Got other things to do tonight if it's inactive. It's inactive.

Have a fun weekend everyone! I'll be on the forum for a few minutes more, checking a few threads, then it's off to do some other things.

Well I got bored, and IRC was dead when I got on there, so I decided to watch a DVD. Now I'm even more bored.

Anyone else ever get the feeling late at night that they should just go out and drive around? I haven't been outside today except for walking to/from work which was a whole lot of 15 minutes. It was also hot out at the time, now it's nice and cool outside. I'm debating on whether or not to go out and get some fresh air.

Oh yeah, I vote for fresh air. Night air is special somehow.
