I saw Dark Knight last night. Very cool.
It was really cool to see a lot what I see everyday in a big movie. I saw saw them setup for shoots last year. I wish I was on set when the blew up the Hospital which was an abandoned candy factory and when they flipped over the semi on LaSalle or Dearborn. Those would have been fun shoots.
I loved that shot where the Joker is walking down the street outside the hospital in the nurses uniform.

Ugh. Girlfriend quit her job today, so now I'm the only employed one.

I mean, she has money saved up, but it's still nervewracking. I told her to find a new job before she quit, but apparently her boss is your typical dirty old man, so her and two other waitresses walked out in the middle of the dinner rush.

I don't know why I'm so worried about it and she's completely unbothered, but, meh, what can ya do?

Congrats on the Apple job, Babarnette. I know more about Macs than I do PCs, though I'm no techie. I still ask questions, and the ppl here offer their input. And hey, if you learn something new about Macs or OSX (how-to's, etc) on the job, feel free to educate us!

I finally found an apartment for the school year! It's been a big pain since I'm not in town and trying to find an apartment for the fall semester only (graduate in December). Well I landed a good one next to campus that has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath for the price of a 1 bed and 1 bath. There was one with all hard-wood flooring, which I wanted but wasn't able to get, so I had to settle with one with carpeting. I'm a big fan of all hard-wood flooring, especially if it's new. My dream home someday is to live in a condo in a city high-rise (yes big dreams) with all hard-wood flooring and a drop-in living room.

This is soooo awesome, I get a huge apartment all to myself. Too bad it's only for 5 months! I'm going to make the most of it though.

Blech, My fiance wants to spend $500 on a ticket to see her friend in VA for 2 days and I don't know what advice to give her. We are only engaged for a week now but $500 is like 25% of the wedding we are planning!

Hm, I guess I get a lifetime of this now eh?

I would say that I respect her decision and I would talk to her about whether it was affordable and realistic given other expenses. The thing is, we now have to start planning for our future together and this is something new for both of us.
