I can tolerate tailgaters. But one thing that really boils my blood is what I'd like to call "lane blockers." That's where, especially on two lanes, 2 cars are more or less beside each other matching speed, disallowing anyone to pass these slow moving vehicles. Aaarrrgh! :Shouting:

Yes, I like to describe them as "left lane police". Those that feel that they are going an acceptable speed and that you should just deal with it. I honestly believe that people who do this intentionally should be drawn and quartered. It is absolutely my number one pet peeve on the road and probably one of the most common causes of "road rage".

For goodness sake, if you're not passing, just get over in the right lane - no one will think worse of you for it.

If I were a police officer, I would ticket so many people for doing this. I'm not sure if it's illegal in all states, but I know it is in Illinois.

ugh, it's illegal in IL? I used to frequent southern IL, a 5+ hr trip from Chicago and the semis would pull that all day long. I-57 is two lanes the whole way down; it was really unnerving.

It's illegal in PA. The law was passed down just a couple of years ago. Enforcing it is another story.

I'd love to have an explanation for why a semi would ever need to be in the left lane.

I'm pretty sure it is, maybe I'm wrong?

If you catch up fast, one will move to left lane to pass. The pass usually takes a few miles. It's a load of fun when you catch up to them and there's already half a dozen cars in line in the left lane.

If you're in the left lane, you'd better be passing, or doing at least 15 over.

Harassing text messages are now coming from my girlfriend's little brother.

I have the law in my hand, and if he continues after the warning I gave him, it's a misdemeanor, fines, and even a lawsuit if I feel so compelled.

I'm done playing the "let's ignore" card.

*edit*

Second warning. This time I even quoted the friggin penal code.

*edit 2*

*sigh* Okay, changed my number. If it doesn't stop now, the cops will be involved.

Oh, no.

Her mom and brother don't like me because I'm a guy and I'm dating their daughter/sister.

So, after my g/f moved in with her aunt, she got a new phone, and the bro and mom are texting me from her old phone saying really hurtful things and accusing me of being an [expletive]hole and that I don't treat her well, while the entire rest of her family loves me.

Go figure.

Assuming they don't get their hands on it, it definitely should.

That gets under my skin... +2

I go to Dallas, TX pretty often, maybe down and back twice a year... Yes, I know you guys were talking about I-75 but I-40 is comparable to the Autobahn description. Memphis, TN is terrible during rush hour... I try to coast down the interstate at or around 79MPH in 70MPH zones and sometimes it's hard to set cruise control because of these idiotic lane blockers. And what's worse than regular lane blockers is tractor-trailers that do this. I love three lane interstates and especially ones with the HOV lanes.
