Cool man, Austin is a great city. I was stationed at Fort Hood from mid 2002 - Feb 2004. Fort Hood is in Kileen about mid way between Dallas and Austin. I highly recommend you check out 6th street if you haven't already. Have fun man.

Yea I've done the whole sixth street thing already haha. Don't remember much of it, but I spent a night (or two) there a couple of years ago.

I could not sleep for the life of me last night. I fell asleep around 2am, then woke up at 3 and was up until 5. How has everyone's Sunday been?

new avatar. the last one was getting to seem too dark to me.

so the new bucky avatar, instead of being suspicious of anyone looking at my posts is now surprised and/or shocked at whatever i'm saying. :D

cwa, i'm taking my nearly four year old to his first movie, next week - i figure the crowds for wall-e should have subsided a bit ;)

I have 3 Cuban cigars...I'm on my 3rd beer because I have had a bad day and want to be able to fall asleep tonight.

I'm thinking about going into the backyard and lighting up a Cuban.

Yeah, the Gimp is tough to find your way around if you're a newbie to image editing software. If you're so inclined to consider a pay-for product, I'd highly recommend Pixelmator. I purchased it a few months ago after beta testing it for some time and can't believe how easy, slick and fast it is. Highly recommended.

Isn't that an illegal activity? Discussion of such acts is against the forum rules. :p

Thanks!! Well, I wouldn't use a photo editor a lot, I just needed something that had a lot more to it than just iPhoto. When I had a PC, I used a freeware called "Photoscape". It was really useful, and the UI was easy. But since I got a Mac, I couldnt use it, as it was PC only. Gimp actually has a lot more than Photoscape does. I really only used it for when i was making a signature or something, so that's just my primary use for it.

Well I ended up having half of one, it started raining. :\

Now I'm just going to sit on the computer until I get tired enough to go to bed.

I pretty much do that every night!

except for smoking the cubans :p

It was my first ever Cuban. It was very tasty though!

I have 2 more left, one I plan on sharing with my best friend at his wedding, and the other with my Dad when I get back into town.
