Tanner: Seriously - if you can afford to buy your own computer, you're old enough to go to a doctor when you need to.

Don't wait for your mommy to take you, you've got the internet - find out where you can go and just go already. Perhaps someone here from Michigan can tell you what your options are re. free health clinics and similar places you could go.

Your mom probably has too much on her mind to notice it, but it sounds as though you're not getting any better on your own. Not trying to be overly dramatic, but a 22 year old dude on another forum I'm on had a manageable breathing disability, was getting treatment for it and recently died of pneumonia anyway. Stuff like that doesn't just happen in movies you know.
Yours is probably nothing, but why take a risk?

GET YOURSELF TO A DOCTOR BEFORE I SET iWHAT ON YOU.

I decided to become a basement dweller this summer, because it's just too friggin' muggy to be upstairs for more than food and work.

I decided if I'm going to do this, I'm allowed to bring one tupperware container full of useful items, and nothing more, except for my laptop, pillow, and flashlight.

This is what I brought:

dscn8177de4.jpg

* BlackBerry, earpiece, and shortcut guide (Charger not pictured)
* iPod, USB cable, charger, and headphones
* 2GB flash drive
* Set of small precision screwdrivers, T6 torx bit, and a multi-bit screwdriver
* Camera, 1GB SD card (not pictured, duh), and USB Cable
* Electrical Tape
* Latest issue of MacWorld
* MacBook and Charger
* MagLite (for protection and light, in that order)

It's like an adventure!

There's a certian four letter word that I can't say on here that starts with F which should come before the phrase "Michigan's economy".

I know, right?
It's weird that we even have any people left!
At the high school graduation they were listing off who was going to what college, and like EVERYONE was staying in Michigan! I was like UM, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!
Then there would be one who was like Miami State or New York University or something like that, and it was like NOW THOSE ONES ARE THE SMART ONES, THOSE ONES ARE GOING TO BE SURVIVORS.

Sure, we're a mitten, and we have great lakes, but is it really worth it being in the state with the highest unemployment rate?

Oh, and my bedroom is already in the basement, which makes me the smart one of my family. :p

But actually it's not that much cooler, because the thing is there is NO AIR CIRCULATION! It's like okay, it's a bit cooler, but come on, we need some MOVIN' AIR IN HERE!

Going to college in Michigan is one thing, but living here's another.

Colleges here are actually quite good, and many of them are well respected elsewhere.

YOu've got a point there.
I guess it's just me, I know if I went to college here i'd probably never get around to moving out of state afterwards...

Threw an early birthday party for my little one yesterday. She'll be a year old on the 18th. The party went very well and was lots of fun. Of course at this age, she was more interested in playing and interacting with the other kids rather than understanding the whole birthday concept. Big sister already knows about birthday fun, so she had a better time than her sissy.

What happened to PinkLemonade?

PinkLemonade (AKA Cassifire, AKA Cassifire 2.0, AKA TheMacMan) is no longer with us. I can't comment beyond that, but I'm sure you can figure out what happened.

What's up everyone? Man I really need to keep up-to-date with MF! I've been so incredibly busy. If I'm not at work then I'm stuck with house projects to take care of or other personal projects.

Just saw a commercial for one of those Java Chillers from Sonic. I think I may have to go and get one since I don't have to be at work until 11. :) Anybody else want one? I'm going with carmel.

Well I haven't left yet, I got a little side-tracked because I just got a new email from a relative on vacation.

How's it going Mina? I haven't seen you around in a while, but I guess I shouldn't be typing, I've had my fair share of disappearances.

Okay, the FUNNIEST thing happened at drivers training today.
So, we actually started driving today.
Weird, considering we started yesterday, and most of yesterday was talking about the first day stuff, textbook and class rules and stuff like that.
So basically we just go out there and drive. The only thing we really learned prior to that was the steps you do before you drive, which were stupid, like adjusting seats, mirrors, etc.

But anyway,

We have BRAND NEW CARS, ours only had 92 miles on it.
They are mostly Dodge Caravans, there was a smaller GMC truck, and a trailblazer, a G6 and an Impala. Way more Caravans than anything else, which is weird.

I thought it was weird they have such big boxy cars, but maybe there's a reason.

Anyway, this kid I know, he's on the range (Part with the cones) in a red G6, he's not that smart. We have to just go in and out of the cones REALLY slow, it's like in a basketball court in the elementary school. This kid goes to turn the corner (It's a tight corner, if you don't want to hit the cone) and he is going really slow, and the front left corner of the car goes RIGHT into the metal chain-link fence! It wasn't me, so it was SO FUNNY! I mean, if I was in an '08 (or '09) PONTIAC G6, and it was remotely close to a fence, i wouldn't KEEP GOING! I mean, how often am I going to be in an '08 anything while the year is still 2008?! Not that often!
It was the funniest thing. One of the instructors was mad. There was no scratches or anything because the car just hit the chain part and he wasn't going far or fast enough to actually push it out to the point where it broke.
It was so funny. The instructor like screamed. I was on the phone with a friend, and I was like (INSERT NAME) JUST RAN INTO A FENCE HAHAHAHA!

It made my day.
My partner and I were in an '08 Trailblazer, or maybe it was an '09?
It had the newer style body though, the back windshield was smaller.

Anyway, it's hard going from a tiny low little 97 dodge neon to this big trailblazer. I'd be pushing the brakes but it wouldn't be stopping like I expected with the neon. It took me a while to grasp that it's a lot heavier.

My partner went first, she got a lot of the good roads. By good roads, I mean good MICHIGAN roads, so it's equal to really bad roads everywhere else.
She did really good.

Our instructor was really nice, we were playing music trivia when my partner was driving, which probably sucked for her. We couldn't play when I was driving because I wasn't as good as she was and he was always telling me stuff. lol.

But my complaints with him...HE TALKED SO QUIET!
He seemed SO DISTRACTED by the radio. He kept tuning it, turning it up, singing, blah blah blah. It didn't bother me that much, it's just that the volume of his voice was the same when the radio was ON as when it was OFF, so he'd say something and neither of us would know what he said.

He would just be like "Turn right up here" while tuning the radio, and it's not like I know what i'm doing. I wanted him to say the STREET name, because there's only like 20 million places to turn right...

And I accidently took a wrong turn because he said "Turn right here" and I thought he literally meant turn RIGHT, but apparently he wanted me to go left, he just used the word "right" in a different context.
My bad. Just kidding, it's his bad.

In the end he said:
"Cover brake thru turns."
"Brake Soon"
"Improved as we went."
Which is good.
I'm finding out that I drive like my dad, which is fast and FUN. lol.
He said that we were the best group he's had, because we weren't fond of going like 2mph like everyone else was. I think he meant it in a good way though, he said we knew there was no need to slow it down when the road's straight and there's no obstacles, and that we knew we shouldn't be nervous and hesitate, which was pretty accurate.

And he would NOT tell me the freakin speed limits!
He would, yet he wouldn't. He would tell me when there was obviously a sign, but when I needed to know he didn't tell me. I just assumed if I didn't see a sign it would be 55, but then he would be like "You can bring it up to 65 here" and I would be like uhh...okay. We weren't on a highway or interstate or anything, so I thought it was weird he said I could go 65, I thought the maximum it could be unless on a freeway or highway or whatever was 55, but I just trusted what he said.
Oh, and he would be like "WOAH, DID YOU SEE THAT TURKEY IN THAT FIELD?" "WHAT IS THAT THEY'RE BUILDING RIGHT THERE? A HOCKEY THING?" "WOW, LOOK AT THAT HUGE WILLOW TREE OVER THERE, DID YOU SEE IT?!" and I wouldn't say anything, but I would be thinking "***, was I SUPPOSED to be looking at that farm?! It's lowell, farms are nothing exciting!"

It was funny.
Tomorrow I have to do the cones. I'm not looking forward to it, it sounds much harder than the road. Going slow is way harder than going fast for me, I get impatient. I guess that's just me being Mr.Speedypants!

That's most of my day.
How was everyone elses?!
I'm going to the doctor this evening.
