We're expected to get quite a few inches here tonight, hopefully it doesn't totally throw off the whole "Halloween feel" ;)

It started snowing here about an hour and a half ago and we've already gotten about 3 or 4 inches. It's really heavy wet stuff too, not fun.

I don't remember EVER having this much snow before November 1st, sure, maybe a flurry, but this is looking like an actual storm.

Weird, even for Maine. :p

P.S. I just might take you up on that TattooedMac. ;)

Cant EVER remember having snow . . . . . Honestly can't fathom what you Northern Hemisphere folk go through . . . I would love to be able to make a snow man and have a snowball fight . . . And this coming from a 39yr old :)

Snow is fun and all in small doses, but when you're buried under 6 feet of the stuff and you need to dig your car out every morning, and need a shovel your driveway out, or can't even get the door open sometimes, it gets to a be a little ridiculous!

That being said, it's always fun to bean an unsuspecting person in the side of the head with a snowball. :D

According to the local news, we just set a record for the single most accumulation of snow in October. The old record was 2" in 1925, I think?

Anyway, I can't remember it ever snowing in October before... apparently the last time it happened was the same year Hurricane Agnes blew threw (1972), which is ironic because we just had flooding similar to the aftermath of Agnes this past summer.

No snow in sight here and we're going to be experiencing double digit temperatures all week. And yes, I do live in Canada. ;)

Flooding !!!! You just have to have a look at Bangkok and there flooding. They are setting records there too with the amount of water getting to the city.
I would be putting on your galoshes if i was you ;)

Yay another in the warmer weather. 35c is just a little to hot for this time of year here but can see it getting to 40+ in Dec, Jan :(

There is a old bloke in Western Australia that can predict weather as if he was god himself.
He got the winter right saying it was going to be one of our coldest and wetest, and now he is saying the summer is going to be a scorcher this year. Fires are going to take a lot of acreage and be devastating.
I hope he is wrong

Cheers

I'll be dipped, I must have flooded the engine yesterday on the Snow Blower. Pulled the spark plug out, cleaned it up a bit, siphoned all of the old gas out, pulled it a few times without the plug. Then I added a little Seafoam engine treatment (LOVE that stuff) to the new gas and it started right up on the first pull with no aggravation.

Now, of course, it's nearly 50 degrees, sunny and much of the snow has already melted away. But lesson learned, from now on, I will do a little maintenance before I put it away for the summer.

It's supposed to rain four of the next six days here - does that help make you feel better? In fact, one of the days has "mixed precipitation" listed as the condition (read that as snow and rain).
