Mac dictionary for iPad?

On my MPB there came built in with the initial software, a VG dictionary (2.2.2). I use it all the time. But can I also get the same for my iPad? I bought another dictionary for the iPad some years ago but the freebie that came with my MPB is much better.

Nice to hear from you again.

I'm pretty sure you have done this -

On your iPad > Settings > General > Dictionary. Tick off the ones you want. To use: How to Look Up a Word Definition on Your iPhone or iPad - MacRumors

As regards independent apps, there's quite a choice:

Thanks Ian ... sorry about the delay but I've been laid low with a virus (not THE virus I hasten to add). I think that my Stone Age iPad (9.3.5) is not suitable for most of those that you mention. Guess I'll wait till I upgrade and leave the matter till then. So renewed apologies and thanks.
