low beep from hardware

hi

i just noticed my powerbook is making a very very low beep sound every
5 seconds or so. it's not coming from the speakers, but from the hardware somewhere. i'm afraid it could be the HD but i've never had any problems with it.

any ideas?

please? i noticed it disappears after a restart, but it comes back after some hours...
