I downloaded an application for my printer/scanner but cannot find it anywhere even with spotlight. Printer works, but paperport scanner console does not come up. Can only access scanner via image capture, but without its other options. Checked the log and it mentions the download occurring. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum. Look in ~User/Downloads folder and then use date modified header to see if there was a download about the time u did it, in case it has a different name to what you are looking for.

Also, you might have that Downloads folder tethered to your Dock (thus, a "Stack" by definition). You can select Open in Finder when you click on the icon.
Sorry, let me clarify my dilema. I downloaded and application and actually installed it, but then cannot find in in the applications folder or anywhere else. No icons for the app anywhere. Looked in logs in system profiler and it shows installation. Bizarre.

What application would this be? Are you sure you are looking in /Applications, and not the Applications folder in your home directory?
