I'm looking for a quality video camera to primarily shoot my sons football games and use for college highlights as well as other shoots.
I've got a budget of 1500 - 2000 bucks, or slightly more.
I'm using a MacBook and will be creating highlight dvd's for some of the kids on the team. I've looked at B&H Photo Video | Digital Cameras, Camcorders trying to get a peek into whats out there in the semi pro market.
Any recommendations?

17in GS Macbook Pro 3.06ghz, 4gb ram, 500 hdd 7200 rpm,9400m and gt graphics
i shoot martial arts videos with a canon hv20 which is mini dv and works excellant on fcp imovie etc and video quality on dvd is excellant, the only thing that takes long is you have to play the video to stream it onto the mac wherre a hdd cam can easily transfer the whole thing in one but editing can be glitchy as its already a compressed file
