My point wasn't that they deserve to die. My point was is that I'd miss them when their time eventually comes. I think she stopped properly using the cat box when we got another cat (the younger of the two) who turned out to be a bit of brat every once in a while when he was a kitten. He's better behaved now these days. I don't blame her for not using the cat box, most females who have a male introduced into their territory will stop using the box unless provided another one, in a separate room. I've been down that road. She seems to think he'll use both (and eventually he did). So I gave up on having two cat boxes. Besides, I find acid-treated concrete easier to clean up than carpet or grooved tile. So I'm not taking the time to re-teach her to use the box.

I know that wasn't your point! I was trying to commiserate. I love kitties so much that I would cry like a little baby too when your kitties die, and I don't even know them! They are the most wonderful creatures on earth. :)

His name is Benji:)

I also have 2 aquariums. 1 salt and the other fresh water. My prized posecion is in the fresh water aquarium. I have a 7" Jack Dempsey along with another one at just almost 2 inches. They obliterate any new fish I buy. The 7" is about 10 years old now!!! Unbelievable even to me!! Here is the salty though... there are at least another 15 hiding behind the coral
sorry...iphone quality pics at it's best:)

My 12 year old cat. Original name was "Cookie Monster" (note the spots on the side..the other side of him is pure white fur) which became "Wookies". We adopted him from a local resident who had kittens. He is my favorite (just don't tell the other one that) :p

My 14 year old sweetie named "Precious", which later became "Weshus" LOL. We adopted her in El Paso, TX with an upper respiratory infection. She was born in early 1997. She's also hungry all the time. :)

My aunt's cat (of about three years, she's about 5 yrs old) named Jazmin

My aunt's dog Lucky. He's a basic mutt. At one time it was considered he had some pit bull in him, but there's total lack of any indication (behavior wise) that he has any trace of it. Of course, I don't know much about pits though so...

And, umm, BargsBeer how'd you get a pet skunk? I can't imagine myself raising a skunk..I would think the smell is rather unbearable! :p

Actually they make really good pets. when they first born they are descented so they don't stink at all. there are a handful of breeders in the country where you can get them. There very playful loving animals. They are a lot of work we let ours roam the house,he gets along well with our cat.

I actually have some kind of zoo here at home. All the animals are also running or swimming around free outside here.
