The same thing my parents used on my brother and I...Lots of Love, patience, understanding, compassion and pepper spray:D

Cute Cat!!

No. Seriously, about the dog.
I like to know, because if I get any dog, there is no choice of taking it to the pound. We adopted our last two from the Internet, but no one knew anything about their personalities. By luck, they turned out OK.
How do you deal with that distruction?

I'm a horrible photographer. Or perhaps I was just a little sleepy eyed too...

Strange looking turtle...
A rare soft-shell turtle, once thought to be on the brink of extinction, is seen in Cambodia May 2007. The Conservation International and World Wildlife Fund announced Wednesday, May 16, 2007 scientists discovered the rare species in Cambodia in a former stronghold of the Khmer Rouge in March. it's funny, i've got two cats, they both have access to the same adult dry food (nutro), and the 9 year old is normal sized, to a little light, the black one who's about 5 yrs is very tubby, and built like a brick. both are fixed, both are female.
we did try the nutro weight loss formula food but it made their poop stink like you wouldn't believe! so we just cut back a few weeks back and only leave out about 1 and 1/4 cup of food a day for both of them.

Portion control is the key. We feed our two dogs and the cat the same way, morning and evening portions. All three seem to be doing fine as far as their weight.
We skip Daisy's dinner sometimes, so she can go and catch a rat instead. It works only when our neighbor also can escape her charm and not feed her.

Err, I don't really know how to properly train a dog. I give treats for the desired results. Pretty basic. He doesn't "poopy" in the house but he pees when he's scared, happy, excited, indifferent, contemplating the universe... He pees a lot and I'm going nuts. It seems like its out of his control. He's not just going to the corner and letting it go, it obviously an accident. He does the typical verbal and hand commands...sit, stay, lay down, come, get up, and get lost. I haven't yet taught how to make a proper Martini but he's only 6mo.s old. My first Geman Shepherd, Boyscout was incredible. He traveled around the country with me for almost 4 years. His command vocab. was interesting Sit>Kick it, Lay Down>Chill, Stay>Be cool, Get in the Van>Load Up, Get lost>Beat it, Attack>WU-TANG! If Scout had thumbs I would of let him drive my van. All my other dogs will be compared to Boyscout he was the man. It was funny watching my grandma talking to my dog, "Boyscout, kick it, now chill!!":D

One thing I know, he will grow out of those "accidents". They are like little babies, no control. Older dogs have the same problem if they were abused growing up. It is called submissive urination. You could try diapers for dogs if you don't think they are ridiculous. There is a training spray to make them go where you want them to go, even in one certain area of the yard.
We tried Bitter Spray for our first puppy to stop her from chewing her bed. It worked somewhat, but not very successfully. It depends how much tolerance you have.
She is the only pet we bought from a pet shop. Here she is 8 weeks old when she almost died on us. She lived to be 17.3 years.

Read up on clicker training as well. I've had success with this. I don't use it fully as intended, just to get the basic behavior down before continuing directly after with out clicker and with treats.

My dobie is pretty smart though. There's several commands that I've given him without anything but very very basic training and he pics up on them very well.
