Have you guys seen this?

Tiffany Noreuil, an animal care technician at the Oregon Humane Society, holds temporarily-named feline Goliath, Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, in Portland, Ore. Goliath, a 20-pound stray whose girth got him stuck in a pet door while trying to plunder some dog food, is back with his owner. His name isn't really Goliath, but it's close. It's Hercules, says owner Geoff Ernest, who was reunited with his tubby tabby Thursday at the society. Gresham, Ore., resident Jadwiga Drozdek found the feline stuck in the dog door of her home a few days ago, helped free him and gave him a plate of food on her patio. When we were adopting my cat, there was another grossly obese cat named Jiggles. He was pretty fat, but not as fat as that blob.

I have to point out that the cat did it to himself. And, people rescued the cat. So, there is no cruelty other than self humiliation.

Bry, your pitbull is cute :)

I hate it that pitbulls have a bad rep. I believe that the owner is at fault if a pitbull becomes violent and bites someone. It makes me sad when the poor doggy gets put down :(

yeah it's a major issue. it sucks the bad media attention these dogs get. punish the owners for their dogs behavior. my dog has grown up to be a big baby. people get intimidated by the looks of him, but when they actually get to know him, they love him. he's great w/ other animals (mind u I have two cats as well) and GREAT w/ kids. my friend brought her baby over one time and my dog was trying his hardest to sit w/ the baby in her carrier.

pitbulls for sure do have a bad rep. but there are some breeds that are just inherently more aggressive than others. i'd never have a pit bull, doberman, rotweiller, etc in my house with a small child. i've even known people who've had otherwise very passive dogs of these breeds and had issues with unexpected violent behavior.

best yet... i'll stick with my cats!

i dunno man, people say this but i tend to agree with netty in the fact that it is all the owner. i once had a kick-butt pitbull.

hmm, i think i shall post some pics of my gordon setter(Pedro) soon eh?
