Hi, everyone! This is my first post here. My question: I have two Mac Mini's. My main one is running Yosemite, but I also want to run Snow Leopard to be able to access some older software that won't run on anything after 10.6.
There are two ways I can go: 1. Purchase a KVM switch and hook the other mini up to run SL, keeping it asleep until needed; or 2. Running SL server in a virtual machine on the Yosemite Mini (it's a late 2012 2.3 gHz quad core i7 with 16 GB memory).
Which of these would be preferable? I should point out that I know very little about KVM's or Virtual Machine software. I would not be using SL that often, but need it to run well and with full functionality when I do need it. Any advice? Advantages or disadvantages? Thanks!
