Keychain & New Account

I just created a new user account for a family member. When she logged in, the next screen asked for a "Keychain Password". I never assigned a keychain password to the new user account. Actually I have no idea what my keychain password is, whether I have one or not, and do not know what the default keychain password may be. Prior to this instance, I have never encountered a reference to Keychain. Previously I was able to create a new user account without any Keychain interference.

I am using Mavericks 10.9.5; on an early '09 24" iMac. Any thoughts on the subject will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Try using your login password. If this a new account it's probably asking you to set up the Keychain for that account.
