I'm trying to install a key scrambler on a flashdrive, so when I plug it into a mac, I can "safely" log into chrome.

People afraid of their own browser -- now I've seen everything. <shakes head>

Any particular reason you have to use Chrome? If so, have you thought about using the "safe" version of it, known as SRware Iron?

You mean the "I'm here in a tinfoil hat because I'm paranoid of a unique ID that's no different than a UUID and search suggestions that can be disabled by the user" version? ;)

tropicalsuburb, what do you mean by "safely" login? What are you trying to do?

Sorry everyone, I'll try to be a bit more clear.

When I am using other's computers, I need a key scrambler to block keyloggers from seeing my password when I sign into Chrome (I use chrome because I sign into it and automatically have all my bookmarks and history.)

I KNOW some of these computers have keyloggers.

What about storing the Chrome profile on the thumb drive (see here) and have that signed in? If I understand your problem, this would put a profile on the thumb drive that would be signed in which would obviate the need for a key scrambler.

I KNOW some of these computers have keyloggers.

If you KNOW, then why do you still decide to use one of those computers ?
If you decide to use one of those, you have accepted the risks that come with that.

My suggestion .... use a computer where you KNOW there is no key logger.

Maybe I am missing something here.:p

This is actually very helpful, thank you. I'll try this out. However, it still would help me out a bunch if I could get my hands on an OSX-compatible scrambler, so I can sign into other things.
