Kernel Panic

Hello Everybody!

I have a Macbook pro Snowleopard for 1.5 years

I have left it unplugged and it had shut down to preserve memory. I had a USB network device probably running. When I resumed session it showed me the four language prompt to ask for restart which I found to be typical of a Kernel Panic Crash.

I started up, it Prompted Apple Error> Details> Kernel Panic (log below). And the first doc I opened (*odt) prompted me a personal settings issue, I clicked "continue" no more problems there.

I have Verified and Repaired Disk from the Install DVD and I ran the Apple Hardware Test (extended)

Found Disk Permissions/Group issues (Repaired); No Other Problems in these tests.

I believe it was a conflict because of the OSx inability to switch off the network device when it was shut down due to the lack of power.

Any ideas if this was the cause?

Is this of any further concern?

Many Thanks

I'm running a mid-2010 MacBook Pro and it's been working perfectly fine ever since I got it. About a week or two ago, however, that kernel message popped up and I had to hard-reboot the notebook. I made a thread about it and people here told me that I wouldn't have to worry unless it reoccurs, and thank God it hasn't yet.

It happened to me after watching a couple of movies, by the way, and I was browsing (around 16 open tabs) so I'm assuming that has something to do with it even though I'm not sure what.

Bottom line: Don't worry about it unless it reoccurs. And since the hardware test was successful, then you're good to go.
