Are you talking about the sidebar where the bookmarks are displayed? You turn it on with "View" then "Show Bookmarks Sidebar." I think that then persists when you close Safari. By that I mean when you open Safari again, it remembers you want to see the sidebar.I beg to differ-Before I upgraded to Monterey, my book marks "Always" stayed open- And that is why I was looking to find out how to keep it that way-When I went to Safari, the bookmarks were always there, open. I never had to open them.
Thanks-
Ian, in post #4, @steinr98 said that. I took that to mean that the bookmarks were there, WHEN he went to Safari, not really all the time, as he implied in the original post. When I went to Safari, the bookmarks were always there, open.
I have to admit, all the angst over one click seems a bit melodramatic, but there you are, it's how it works, apparently.
I'm with you on that, Charlie. But I guess if a person depends on bookmarks, the sidebar is worth the real estate.I don't particularly like to keep the bookmarks sidebar open in Safari anyway as that uses unnecessary screen space.
Can you post before and after screen grabs? I'm still not exactly sure what Bookmarks you're referring to?I use my book makes quite often and it is a pain to reopen each and every time.
