IWORK, Pages, Updates for IBOOKS?

I am an author and wrote first book on PC, have the final layout for printer in PDF format, need to convert PDF to Pages for Ibook publication, do I convert PDF and what is best software? Adobe is expensive, Wonderware is not too expensive, but I need to convert entire text, layout and pictures-black and white, plus cover into Pages, any suggestions?

Other than Adobe, Wondershare seems like it would do the job for you. However you might want to take a look at "PDF2Office for iWork" which you can download from the Mac App Store or from here.

Is iWork 08 that includes Pages the latest version of Pages, seems there is another version 5.0.5, do I need to upgrade iWork or Pages or both???

I have an iMac, Yosemite 10.10.1, Pages 3.0 and iWork 08, I am wondering if I need to update to Pages 5.0 of if there is an update for iWork with Pages 08?

The iWork 08 applications are no longer updated. You should purchase the new version of Pages (5.X) from the Mac App Store if you intend to use it for iBooks.

Easy fix for saving Pages old files to new Pages vesion, go to file and hit option, save as will pop unp and save it to new version/
