Well that's it. What the Title says.

I recently reinstalled Mac OSX (Leopard) on my MacBook Pro 15" and when I try to open iTunes I get this message:

iTunes requires QuickTime 7.5.5 or later. For more information on upgrading your computer, visit Apple - QuickTime - Download and watch videos, movies, and TV shows.

When I do visit the site it only tells me QT comes with MacOSX and it is automatically updated through Software Update.

I've run S.U. until it says all software is up to date. Still iTunes asks for an update.

Now what?

Thanx!

If you have the bandwidth try and dl the 10.5.8 combo update and get back to us. It is 759MB I only advise this as i don't know what .v 10.5.x you reinstalled.
I never now do a system SU update as i have had glitches/gremlins in the past. Hopefully the combo will do the job.

Cheers

What version of iTunes are you using? What version of QT is installed?

It's possible that the update for QT is hidden in Software Update (for whatever reason). With SU open, go to Software Update > Reset Ignored Updates. Does it now show up (you may have to restart SU)?

I can't! "Reset Ignored Updates" is grayed out. :S

Then there are no updates to reset. In that case, just get the installer from Apple here (it's for version 7.7).
