iTunes Migration Help

So I've moved all my data over to a new iMac and I now want to use my old Mac pro as file server for all my TV shows and movies. How can I have my new iMac pointing at the internal HDDs of the pro? I've tried pointing the iTunes media folder location to the internal HDDs of the pro but NOTHING happens. I am connected the the pro via a wired network. Both computer are running Lion.

Any help me lovers?
