iTunes File names

I'm currently storing a large amount of my music and movie files in iTunes on an external hard on my old iMac. I would like to purchase a Mac Mini and plug in the hard drive to that unit. Is there a data base file (like the Safari .plist) that I need to transfer so the iTunes on the Mac Mini will pick up list of music and movies?

Connect the external HD to the Mini, open iTunes, Preferences. On the Advanced tab there is a space for the location of the media folder, change that from the default to the location of the folder on the external HD. That should be all you need to do. Note: If you ever fire up the iTunes on the mini without that external attached, it will default back to the internal drive.
