Absolutely. It's a free app, but will pop up a reminder after 'x' amount of uses asking you to pay to get rid of the pop up. I use it constantly, and wish it was part of OS X by default:
Size up
There's also cinch, but I prefer size up because not only can you do split screens (which is all that cinch does I believe) but you can do quarter screens so you can fit 4 apps or finder windows on your screen. It can actually do a lot more than that, but I don't use its other features. I'd say it's worth paying for to be honest.
Oh, and the keyboard shortcuts are totally user customizable.
