Please bear with me. I have a 2011 Macbook Pro that I have upgraded to OS X Lion and 8gb RAM. For various reasons I wish to use Boot Camp to install Windows 7 and boot between the 2 operating systems.

Is there a short tutorial for this? You may well say use the search function on this, but when I do, I find threads that go back years and refer to older Tiger and Leopard system OS and many of the threads get side tracked by various people trying to other information or with problems.

Just the short tutorial is all I want giving bullet points.

Thanks in anticipation.

You didn't search using the right criteria.

How to install Windows 7 using Boot Camp

With the greatest respect I did search using that criteria and found that very thread. That is why I posted using the wording that I did. Remember I said that I had upgraded to OS X Lion! In paragraph 18 the procedure advises the user to install the Leopard DVD for drivers. If you have upgraded to Lion using the internet, there is no DVD available. Hence my question!!!!!!

Open BootCamp Assistant found in Applications / Utilities

Click the 'Print Installation and Setup Guide'

Print it - Read it - a couple of times before you start - takes about 5 minutes

That's about as straight forward as it gets.

Your Snow Leopard DVD will still work and you did need OS X.6.8 to download Lion. And download the drivers and burn to a CD as set out in the guidelines.

Thanks. I had already looked VitualBox and it did not satisfy my needs. It might be fine on a Mac but for the game I wanted to play, it was not suitable on a 15" Macbook Pro.
