Currently running a 2011 Macbook Pro with Lion 10.7.5.

I'm thinking about upgrading the OS, and I'm not sure if I want to go with the newest one, as I have seen a TON of complaints about it.

Last post here was Apple has withdrawn Mavericks from the App Store.

Don't believe 5% of what your hear. Yosemite is fast and rock steady. Have been testing and using since Public Beta Release 1 back in July. Only suggestion is whatever you upgrade to, download from the App Store, burn to a USB thumb drive using DiskMakerX, backup, format the hard drive and do a clean install. Make sure you are running 8GB of memory.
