I have recently maxed out the space on my macbook pro. I decided to buy a 2 terabyte time capsul free up the space on my hard drive. My question is this:

I heard it is possible to make my time capsul serve as my main hard drive to my computer... I want to be able to save everything on it at all times.

I have not been able to update my computer due to my lack of hard drive space.. I want to be able to put all of my files, etc on the time capsul and wipe out my computer and upgrade to the latest system. I also want to be able to always save things on the time capsul so i never have to save it on my computer. I heard this is possible?

I'm in the same boat. I have tons of stuff on my hdd from client projects and photographs.

I'm sure it's possible. Mine is suppose to come in the mail on the 15th.

I just went to the Apple store and picked up a Time Capsule for the same reason, I would have to think that you could store your files on the backup disk and access them as you like. I sure hope so but it looks I'm going to find out one way or another. I figure either way I can move my files long enough to update my machine and delete the files I need to delete to make room on the cpu hard drive. I'll try to keep you posted.

I have had no issue and still have/use a 1st gen TC as a Time Machine backup for 3 Macs and also use it as a NAS device for storing other data I want to quickly share between multiple machines here including my XP and Win7 machines.
