is 8Gb Ram useful in the Mid 2010 Macbook?

MacBook Pro 16 inch 2,6Ghz I7 - MacPro 5,1 3,2Ghz-6Core Xeon
So i was wondering if it is worth upgrading my memory from 4gb to 8gb in my 2010 macbook
im running 10.10 Yosemite and plan on upgrading when 10.11 comes out further specs are
2.4 ghz intel core 2 duo
Nvidia 320m
512 Gb ssd

Let me know if you have any idea im very interested

The minimum amount of memory to run Yosemite is 4 GB but most folks that post to our forums will tell you that with 8 GB it will run better. So yes, adding another 4 GB should be beneficial both for running Yosemite and later on El Capitan. Make sure you purchase the correct memory for your machine. We recommend purchasing from Other World Computing or Crucial. Amazon sells Crucial memory so you might look there first.

8gig of ram on any Mac capable of 8gig of ram is almost always helpful!:)
