ehh i dont like it.... i prefer the exo2 skins or something that still somewhat leaves the iPod's elegance to be seen.. to each his/her own i guess. Weird move on apple's part.

they only released it because they know it will make them more money. if you buy the pod from apple, why not a cover?

A sock isn't a "cover." When I buy an iPod, I want a clear case, not some sock.

i like the socks idea. i dont want a cover that will always be on the ipod like the iskins or similar cases. wats the point in having something as cool looking as an ipod when it will always be covered up by a case like the iskins- and they dont even have screen protection! its not that hard to slip the ipod out of the sock if u wana change the song or something. and then u can admire the ipod in full.

I was wondering when that would make it here.

Im definitely a hardcore ipod user, and these 'socks' look ok, its kinda like the case that goes over the leather case that originally came with the 3rd gen ipods and now sells separately, just in color minus the leather case wth belt clip. I never use that belt clip, I keep my ipod in my pocket, so its a good way to just slip on the sock, and slip into your pocket.

i like them, they are over priced, 30 bucks for 4 socks, go to marks and get 10 pairs.

They Will Sell

You may not think they are cool, but that does not matter. For example at my school it does not matter what you own with your iPod it is just the fact you have that, and no one else does. That will push sales, just wait they will come out with somthing else. It is not what it is, it has to do with how many people own it. If you own it others will want it.

It is just that simple! That is why I truely think Steve is a smart guy. The fact he could pull that over you watchful eyes and you were totally oblious to it is amazing. Good luck next time, hahahaha!

See, your right, its going to be successful because the majority of iPod owners are probably Mac users, who will buy 5 of anything Apple...

They look pretty cool and I need something to keep my iPod in but not at that price. What's the stuff made from? Gold thread??

I think this is a cool thing to do. I'm always worrying about my ipod when it is in my belt clip, which I carry in my pocket, I would much rather just slip it into a sock and then into my pocket. It also goes with that retro style that a lot of young people seem to be taking on these days (ripped clothes, denim jackets, etc.).

Here is the discription on the Apple website
So add a dash of color to your iPod with iPod Socks, the year's coziest and most vibrant iPod accessory.

It doesn't matter which iPod model you have because iPod Socks fit all of them. And it doesn't matter what your mood is because each iPod Socks package includes six bright colors so you can pick the one that feels best.

Forgive us if we're stating the obvious, but here's how it works: Just slide your iPod into the sock to keep it safe and warm. Slide it out to dock or change playlists. It's as easy as... putting on a pair of socks.

okay...so enough bashing the socks...has anyone actually bought a set yet...im kinda curious about them myself..like how are made...is there a specail liner in them or is it just knitted material on both sides ???

personnaly i want them...i have 3 iskins which i totally love...but they do hide alot of the look of the ipod like someone has mentioned, my girlfriend thinks these socks are stupid so im just waiting to see if she gets me them for x-mas if not...im going to but before i do id like to know more about them...

I bought some to give as a Christmas present but of course they haven't opened them yet. I'll let you know how they are when they do :)
