The latest version of iPhoto for OS X (10.9.5) is 9.5.1.

Did you transpose the digits in your question; ie did you mean 9.5.1 rather than 9.1.5?

Thanks for your input. II decided to wait a bit until most problems with Yosemite are cleared and then upgrade to the latest iPhoto.

Yes, the version for Yosemite is 9.6 and is only available if you have Yosemite. So you (and I as it so happens), have the latest version of iPhoto - 9.5.1
