Iphoto has been very sluggish, to the point where I have to wait a minute or so for the spinning ball to go away when I do something. I just can't use it anymore. My camera and my card reader won't show up in iphoto. I have to go under File/Import to get my pictures in, but then the photos don't import into iphoto the way I want them to. All photos get dumped in one batch instead of by day under events.
Iphoto also doesn't play nice with uploading photos through websites, such as blogger. Some pictures just won't show up for a very long time. It takes new imports awhile especially to show up.
I have outline, drop shadow, sharing and show reflections turned off. There doesn't seem to be a difference with them on or off. Iphoto is still slow either way.
I am running 10.6.8. I have iphoto11, 9.2.1. Both are current.
I have about 10,000 photos in my library and I have been told that there is a 10,000 limit on what iphoto can handle. I have my doubts about this though, as it has never been backed up.
Any ideas what is happening? Thanks.
