There (apparently) used to be a way to take a screenshot on an iPhone; - hold down the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time. This does not work on my 3GS iPhone. S/W version is 3.1.3

Does it work for anyone? Has it been disabled in the latest iPhone update?

It was never " Hold down " those buttons it was/is " press them both at the same time and release"

I just tried it on my non-3GS, version 3.0... and it works.

But it's not "press-and-release"... It's more like a hold-down both at the same time simultaneously for about half a second. Then it makes a click sound and the screen flashes white for a fraction of a second.
