iPhone ringtones

I have made some of my own ringtones similar to the Garageband way (cutting them down to 20-30 seconds first), but when they actually ring on my phone they are really quiet compared to the ringtones that come with the phone.

Has anyone else had a problem like this? Does iToner boost the sound levels? Should I stop being a baby and just boost the levels in Garageband?;D

Boost the sound levels in garage bane, but be careful not to over boost them.

what corbri have explained is even easier and less complicated than doing it wtih garageband. coz somehow my garage band doesnt have the option to send ringtones to itunes on. i dont know why, a new mac user myself. had my iphone first then mac.

I download my ringtones from Free Ringtones - Real Music Tones for any Cell Phone - Brinked.com and they are usuhally pretty high quality. Anyone else done this?

Regarding dragging the new m4r file on your desktop into iTunes adler`s step (5) is critical otherwise as I found nothing happened.

5)DELETE THE AAC FILE THAT WAS CREATED IN YOUR LIBRARY!

Then its a walk in the park.
