iphone not on phone plan but still rings

I purchased a new iPhone 12 earlier this year and everything is working just fine. I decided to keep my iPhone 7 for playing games, answering my emails, getting on the web and oddly enough I can still text on my iPhone 7 which confuses me because I don't have any phone coverage.

what can I change in settings or turn off so that my iPhone 7 will not ring?

On your iPhone 12 look in Settings > Phone, then go to Calls on Other Devices. You should see the iPhone 7 listed and have the option to turn off.

thnx... in settngs... i have allow calls on other devices turned exceot macbook&ipad off...
only iphone is on... and I presume that's my iPhone 12!

No, that's the 7. The 12 won't be listed as it is not an "Other" device.

Why would you want to do that? With no WiFi and no Cellular, that 7 is pretty much isolated from anything. Just remove it from the list on the 12 and it won't ring.

i realized that.
all done now and working...
