iPhone 11: Video camera zoom too jumpy - workaround?

Your Mac's Specs
13" MBP - 2.7 Ghz, Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM.
Is there a workaround when zooming in and out with the video camera so that when it goes between the .5, 1 and 2x lenses in a continuous shot it doesn’t jerk/restabalize itself? Is there a way, or even another camera app, that has a smoother zoom option? Thanks.

MBP 16" 2023 (M3 Pro), iPhone 16 Pro, plus ATVs, AWatch, MacMinis (multiple)
If you press and hold on the buttons, they get replaced with a rotary "wheel" of zoom options. I tested it and the transitions seemed very smooth.
