what is the best method for adding memory to an ipad?

First, welcome to the forum! :)

Second, you really need to learn how to write a useful and informative opening post - let me just ask a few questions to get things rolling: 1) Which iPad do you own; and 2) What iOS is installed?

The term 'memory' is not defined or possibly not understood by you? First the iPad has dynamic RAM (Random Access Memory) where processes & apps run - I own an iPad Air 2 which has 2 GB RAM; second, the device also has solid state storage, i.e. analogous to a non-moving HD - mine has 64 GB of which half remains.

SO, for starters please tried to provide the information asked - explain what you mean by 'memory' - and tell us why you need more? Dave

Buy a different iPad with more storage. The storage on iPad's is not upgradeable.
