Thanks, I’m liking the “driving now” bit. Very helpful.
Good read, but I'll wait until I hear from Kirk that the poor resolution he discovered is fixed, or was an error. The differences are petty staggering.
That’s because Apple wants the Frenchman to have an iPhone too, that may, translate the other way?Another interesting iOS11 quirk: Siri can translate from English TO several languages, but not the other way. So, you are in the middle of France, use Siri to translate "How do I get to the train station?" into French, but when the Frenchman responds in French, Siri cannot translate that to English. Not terribly useful, IMHO. But maybe it will get updated later on.

The only single issue I have had with IOS 11 was on my iPad Air (Air not Air 2). I was making folders and went crazy moving things all over different screens trying to get it the way I wanted it and had a lockup. After 10 seconds it restarted on it's own. I have not been able to duplicate it so it was probably something I was doing trying to learn the new OS!Grin
Otherwise it's been faultless on even the Air leave alone the 10.5 Pro.
May I ask a questions about iTunes for Windows? I recently installed iTunes 12.7 and, like many others, the book tab was gone. Does it mean that all my books are lost and how can I ever get this feature back? Will I need to install a separate iBook tab like the one used with Mac?
Living in Indonesia I have been dependant on Google Translate for a while and it enables fast switching between audio English to Indonesian and vice versa. I have only just updated to iOS 11 so I will have a play with Siri today but because GT also offers off line translation I think it will be hard to beat.Another interesting iOS11 quirk: Siri can translate from English TO several languages, but not the other way. Not yet I definitely will. Will come back with questions if I have any...Did you read thru the information I provided you at the link in red? That will show you how to transfer and read your books on a Win machine. And no, there is no iBooks app for Windows.
Out of curiosity... Isn't your statement also a sort of hidden praise for Bing? If I recall correctly, Siri uses Bing/Microsoft cloud technology...The beauty of cloud based technologies like Siri, it will only get better as time goes on..not long before we have the "Universal Translator" in our hands..![]()

Sorry but i couldn't find an answer anywhere, however updated my iPad air to ios11 and in the control screen it shows "music" and it will pop up when i first use my iPad. this is a total nuisance. Is there anyway to eliminate it? I've gone to control to find a way to get rid of it but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?
