Intel iMac 24" display messed up

Hi,

My Intel iMac 24" display is showing feint zoomed in text (similar to a watermark) that won't go away. I took a snapshot and it didn't appear in the snapshot so I know there is something wrong with the display.

It's like the zoomed in text is burned into the monitor. It becomes visible with darker colors. With black it's 100% visible, white 0%. Any suggestions?

It may be slight screen burn. How long have you had your iMac and what kind of programs are you running on it that would possibly cause video screen burn? If you are still under warranty, it may be covered. If not, try the fixes recommended here:
