Installed New Hard Drive-Can't install software!

MacBookPro 2010, iMac 2008, both running Mountain Lion
I recently installed a new internal hard drive into my Power book G4. Now, when I try to re-install the original system software that came with the computer, I get a message saying "Bundled Software Cannot Be Installed On This Computer." Very frustrating! How can I get ths CD to install the software?? Help!

did the software work with the old HD?

Yeah. It worked fine. Is it some kind of licensing thing?? Like it will only install on the original hard drive??
