Hey guys, I'm having some trouble with putting subtitles on this video.

I've selected little bits from the main video, then added them to my project library (I think that's the right term) and put subtitles every where they needed to be.

The full video shows that orange bar that shows where the subtitles would be, but it's not showing them when I play it, nor is it showing the subtitles when I export the movie.

I've attached a screen shot if that helps at all.

I'm confused and don't know what to do. Can anyone help me get a finished product with subtitles?

And if you couldn't tell this is my first time using iMovie and so I don't know any of the terms.

Thanks!

P.S. I'm using iMovie 09

So... iMovie just crashed. I ran the application again and the video didn't show up at the bottom. I imported the video again, and now it shows two copies of the video, one with the orange bars, and one without them.

And now I can't figure out how to get rid of the video without the orange bars (the top video).

I highlighted it and clicked reject selection, but it just puts a red bar through everything. What does that mean?
