image cut out

Hi all

i need to cut an image of a person out of a photo and be able to import it in to motion 4.

i tried cutting round the image with the cut tool but my hand shakes and never comes out how i want it i didnt know it there was another way?

i only have iphoto09 can i do it on this or would i need a program like photoshop?

If your cutting out try illustrator and make a clipping mask. You can edit the points and you get a smooth vector line.

All depends what you want the final image to look like and how you want to use it.

I use the Quick Select tool (in Photoshop or PS Elements) for this a lot, then fine tune it a bit by hand. Seems to work pretty well most of the time.

Learn to use photoshop. And learn it well. Its a very valuable skill.
